Baptism Day! GRIFFIN

Baptism Day! LIAM

Baptism Day! BECKHAM

Baptism Day! AIDEN

Baptism Day - Getting Ready...

The boys were baptized in a small ceremony on May 2nd. Liam had surgery 2 days later on May 4th and we had to keep all, especially Liam, completely healthy. While we hoped we could have had a larger celebration, it was the best decision for us. It was a beautiful ceremony that Grandpa Lou performed and a blessed day.

(Just before I went in to deliver the boys, my Dad baptized them in my womb. It was special to feel they were completely in God's hands before we began).

Getting Ready...
Aunt Nicole spent the night and Grandma Helen came by in the morning to help as well. I had everything organized and ready to go, learning that there is no such thing as too much preparation. I dressed all the boys and got all choked up as they looked so much older in their little baptism outfits and oh-so-handsome, just like big brother!

We've Got Big Plans, Big Plans I Say

Mother's Day 2010

The day started out beautifully, "sleeping in," early healthy breakfast in bed with all 6 of my guys. We had big plans to get outdoors and ended up at Home Depot, whoa big time! It was our first store outing with all 5 boys. We ended up buying 5 trees, seemed fitting and I didn't even have to plant them. It was a perfect day. I am so very blessed.

Liam the Brave

A little behind on my blogging, Liam's hernia surgery was May 4th.

It's always difficult, way difficult to hand your child over for surgery of any kind, and with Liam heightened because of the concerns with his heart. While he was completely cleared for the procedure, we worried and ultimately put everything into God's hands as He has always taken care of our little sweetheart.

It is always emotional for me to be back at Rush, the sounds, smells, all of it remind me so much of my 8 weeks there, and just our entire journey. We knew Liam was in good hands as the doctor had performed the same surgery on Griffin when he was in the NICU. Still, there is absolutely nothing like seeing your child again after they are so sad to be taken from you and lovin' on them.

We keep telling Liam he doesn't have to go to such lengths to get some alone time. ;)
